Rambling Roses

Whats the differences between a climber and a rambler? Climbers tend to flower repeatedly throughout the summer whereas ramblers tend to flower once a year. Ramblers are best suited to growing through trees or as ground cover. They grow at great speed so can be very useful coverage. They produce some of the most beautiful hips after flowering.

Albertine (Rambler) A vigorous, free flowering rambler. The young foliage is red tinged. The flowers are salmon pink with a good fragrance. Plant in sun in a well-drained soil.		HEIGHT: 4.5m.
American Pillar (Rambler) Single flowers, at first reddish-pink then paling to deep pink with off white centres usually in large trusses during June and July. Plant in sun in a well-drained soil.		HEIGHT: 4.5m SPREAD: 3m.
Bleu Magenta (Rambler) Dainty, rich deep purple, sweetly scented flowers in summer. Foliage dark and thorn-free. Suits most soils in sun or semi shade.		HEIGHT: 3.5m SPREAD: 3m.
Blush Rambler (Rambler) A vigorous, almost thornless rose with cascading clusters of blush-pink open fragrant flowers in summer. Plant in good garden soil in sun or semi-shade.		HEIGHT: 3.5m. SPREAD: 3m.
Bobbie James (Rambler) Individual flowers of creamy-white form large drooping, highly scented clusters in June-July. Greeny-brown foliage. Suits north walls. Plant in a well-drained soil.		HEIGHT: 9m SPREAD: 6m.
Crimson Showers (Rambler) Bright crimson pom-pom like, scented flowers in large pendulus clusters from June to Sept. Dark shiny foliage. Well drained soil in sun or semi shade.		HEIGHT: 3.5m SPREAD: 2.5m
Debutante (Rambler) Clusters of small clear rose-pink flowers with an apple scent during summer. Plant in sun in a well-drained soil.		HEIGHT: 4.5m.
Dortmund (Rambler) Clusters of wavy single red flowers with a white eye. Healthy. Repeat flowering. Plant in a well-drained soil in sun or semi-shade.		HEIGHT: 3m. SPREAD: 1.8m.
Easleas Golden Rambler (Rambler) Large loose double golden yellow scented flowers in summer. Plant in a well-drained fertile soil in sun or semi-shade.		HEIGHT: 6m. SPREAD: 4.5m.
Felicite et Perpetue (Rambler) A vigorous almost evergreen rambler with large clusters of small, scented, creamy-white blooms from early to mid July. Plant in sun in a well-drained soil.		HEIGHT: 4.5m
