Clematis Availability List 

The range of Clematis available is extensive: differing size, colour of flowers, form and shape, flowering period, type of growth and variations in foliage give the gardener an unlimited freedom of choice. See our Fact Sheet on pruning clematis - there are three main groups to be considered. Some of the Clematis are also suitable to be grown on the patio, ideal in pots and can be trained round an obelisk.

armandii Masses of creamy-white scented flowers during April-May. Plant in full sun in a fertile soil.		HEIGHT: 5m. SPREAD: 4m. PRUNING GROUP: 1.
Asao Large, deep pink flowers, darker at edges, during May-June, Aug. Attractive seed heads. Fertile soil. Not in full sun.		HEIGHT: 2m. SPREAD: 2m. PRUNING GROUP: 2.
Ashva Small to medium purple flowers with a red bar from June to Sept. For all aspects. Ideal for pots.		HEIGHT: 1.5-2m. PRUNING GROUP: 3
Barbara Harrington Free flowering form producing red blooms in summer. Plant in fertile soil in sun or shade.		HEIGHT: 3m. SPREAD: 3m. PRUNING GROUP 3.
Bijou PATIO: Beautiful mauve flowers from May-June. Suitable for any aspect in all fertile soils. Ideal for pots.		HEIGHT: 90cm PRUNING GROUP: 2.
Blue Angel Lavender blue flowers with ruffled sepals in June-Oct. Plant in fertile soil in sun.		HEIGHT: 2.5m. SPREAD: 2m. PRUNING GROUP: 3.
